…try to “save” me at work today. The first savior I just nodded my head and let him talk. He was nice enough even if he was misguided and deluded. Savior numero dos(they were Mexican) was a bit more militant….and by militant he was wearing a military style beret and BDU pants. If he wasn’t a soldier for Christ then I don’t know who is. He wouldn’t take head nods for an answer. So I sort of lied(more like led him on) to get the crazy bastard out of my face. Yes, I do read the Bible every day, and yes, I understand the concept of a personal relationship with your imaginary friend. He finally walked off. Satisfied that he had served his master by annoying the everliving hell out of me at work at 7:45AM. Amore de Dios numero tres just didn’t know she had walked into. She seemed nice enough. Much more of a student for Christ than a soldier for Christ. At this point, however, my copy of the God Delusion was out and about and I think this might have scared the poor girl. She slid their little pamphlet over to me without getting too close; the same way a stray cat will take food out of your hand…very, very careful. You never know, my Diablo habla might infect her. The moral of the story is, children, no matter what you are selling, never do it unsolicited at someones place of employment. This goes for Girl Scout Cookies, 5 dollars for booze a bus ticket, or Mexican Jesus.
