Posted in Politics on November 12, 2006 by northlamarSteve Cohen has been a strong voice in Tennessee politics for 2 decades. Now he brings that to Washington. While I’m not sure if he lasts more than one term if Harold Ford, Jr. wants his old job back, it’s great to see a maverick represent Memphis in Washington again. 10 political districts of America
Posted in Politics on November 12, 2006 by northlamarTake a gander at this discussion on the political makeup of America. I disagree somewhat with the groupings presented forth. America is much more split among rural, suburban, and urban than geography, although geography does play a part.

Posted in Sports, boxing on November 6, 2006 by northlamarFloyd Mayweather is talking about ending his career after one more fight. I don’t blame him, especially the way he dominates every one fights. It’s a shame if he retires, but I hope De La Hoya and he can give us one last big fight.

Vote tomorrow
Posted in Politics on November 6, 2006 by northlamarTomorrow is a big day for our country and you should exercise the right that so many have died to protect. Show those who protect our way of life that you care and appreciate their sacrifice. I don’t care so much who you vote for, but please vote.

For those who haven’t heard of Quicksand, I suggest getting some of their music. My favorite band, by far. Here is there cover of the the Smith’s classic, “How soon is now?”. Also, you can here Walter Schreifels joking around with a cover of “Start Today” by Gorilla Biscuits(his earlier band). Enjoy…
